Pyramid Club

Intro
A7 D A7

Verse 1
  D A7
I thought the only pyramids were in a foreign land
      A7 D
Where treasures are aplenty with riches rare and grand
    D D7 G G7
But here we have a pyramid that really is a honey
   A7 D
To join, you pay a dollar and you win a lot of money

Chorus 1
         D A7
It's the Pyramid Club that I joined
  A7 D
I thought that I could make some easy coin
     D D7 G G7
Over there, they call them mummies, over here, we're just dummies
   A7 D
Us members of the Pyramid Club

Verse 2
  D A7
I found an unsuspecting pair and made them members too
   A7 D
We had a great big party at which time, they paid their dues
     D D7 G G7
This made me number two in line, my joy could not be spoken
    A7 D
And I'd have won 10,000 bucks, but then, the chain was broken

Chorus 2
      D A7
After waiting through 3,000 names
  A7 D
I thought that, at last, I'd won the game
           D D7 G G7
But number one-five-six-three-two got mad and didn't pay his dues
     A7 D A7
So I lost in the Pyramid Club

It's the Pyramid Club that I joined

I thought that I could make some easy coin
     D D7 G G7
The Egyptian mummy Siam is no nearer dead than I am

As a member of the Pyramid Club
