I’m as dry as Throckmorton County

‘Cause I’ve been buzzing on these
                G
Neon dreams and Marlboro nicotine

Chorus

But I’m riding high and I’m laying low
                G

              G
I gave up the bottle for the Bible
         Am G F
But this heartache is ninety-proof

Swear that’s the sober truth

“Amazing Grace,” how sweet the sound
C
I was lost, but now I’m down

Since you’re nowhere to be found
               G
Now that I’m a better man

And everyone drink one for me in memory
       G F
Of the fool I used to be
                 G
But now he ain’t me
